SmutStone

SmutStone is a parody name of another game that has the word Hearth in it, but it’s not a true NSFW game parody of the old card classic. True, you will be playing with cards, but that is where the similarities end, and SmutStone reveals itself for what it is. Your goal is to progress through the story and reveal the secrets of the new world you find yourself in, all the while collecting cards with some kinky art on them. You will get story scenes in between that have some animation, so it’s not just words on the page.

SmutStone’s cutscenes look very close to the good old comic strips. You press forward, and the text bubbles slowly load into place. After enough story progression, you will get a short panel where the sexy action happens. This is a browser-based game, so you don’t have to download anything. You get some free card pulls every few hours or days, but you can also buy chests to grab more. The card battles are automatic, but there is some strategy and synergy to it. When you defeat one enemy card, you can start attacking the HP directly. Defeat the boss, and you get a new harem card!

The Prices

There is no subscription option to be found, so all purchases are one-time things. The only thing you can buy is the premium gem currency, which is red like rubies. 99 gems can buy the golden box, the best item for pulling cards. Silver box costs 20K gold, and you can buy 40K gold for 49 gems, among other packs of gold that have more.

When looking at the pure box prices, a gold box costs $9.85, while a pack of 40K gold costs $4.87. The gem packs are also priced to make you buy more.

What We Think

SmutStone has a good bit of storytelling and nice visuals to enjoy, although the gameplay inside is closer to mobile apps and games. It does know how to keep you hooked into the play when you start, and the exploration of the map is also fun. It’s decent fun if you are into this sort of NSFW gameplay, but be warned that the pricing on the packs is predatory and that it’s made to obscure the true price you are paying in the end. SmutStone has scummy tactics, but is otherwise fine as a game.
