We always appreciate competence behind features and not daydreams, so it goes without saying that we are very agreeable with how Candy.AI does things!
How The AI Partners Are Handled
The heart of all chatting experience is the AI companion. We have to admit right off the bat that we are a little bit biased. Why? We like the characters too much! There is a small flavor text under every character, which you can read in full on their profile page. Each character also has a gallery of images that can be unlocked later, but otherwise serve as a cute tease. They also mostly have animated profile images, and they might send you a short video as an introduction. The men and women are all in realistic art style, and honestly, it took us a few moments to tell the difference between real and fake. If you like the drawn style, or if you have odder fantasies, there is also the anime option!
The Features Integrated Into The Conversations
Text is the primary way to communicate with your companion. However, you get at least two or three features that make it slightly better. Our favorite was, and you might think it boring, the simple image request prompt. It gives three options on how to communicate with the AI on what kind of image you want to see during the roleplay moment. We don’t like leaving the conversation when things are getting spicy, so having the button on hand is always good. You might be more taken with the voice call or voice message. Every AI on Candy.AI has an assigned voice, and they are quite useful when you feel the need to hear a reassuring voice in the deep night. The voices are a little bit robotic, but not so much that they lack charm.
The Aspect Of A Favorite Girl
This is a feature, trust us! Making girls (or boys) who appeal to a wider range of emotions and interests is an art form. Looking through the collection, seeing a girl, and going “that’s her” takes a lot of effort behind the scenes. It’s not enough to just make a pretty face and slap some bogus personality and drive behind it. How much you can enjoy and connect with the girls is a huge thing. Candy.AI leans more into the roleplay section, so these aren’t just messages, but a bit of a novel. Our Favorite girl was Freya, the ice queen. We were first captivated by her looks, but her setting sent us off on an adventure! We loved her so much, we made a hundred or so AI Images of her in all sorts of poses and clothes!
The External AI Image Generator
We do love chatting with the girls, but we also like to make massive batches of images! You can find the image generator as one of the feature options. It takes the premade models as the basis, but it can also work with any custom AI you made on the site. The image maker studio is a simple one, but the simplicity is also elegant. The text box is where the description for the image goes, and all around it are tags and filler commands to better guide the AI in the direction you want. All things considered, it has just enough depth to make a wonderful image, but it’s also shallow enough that we couldn’t make it fail no matter how much we tried. Making the images costs tokens, so, once we ran out, we checked what that was all about.
The Token Usage
As it turns out, all new members get 100 free tokens to use. Don’t repeat our mistakes and spend them wisely, because we ended up blowing it all up on images. One image is one token, so you can really get lost when you enter the mythical zone. The subscription covers unlimited chatting, so tokens are what you use for everything else. It’s a fair way of monetizing subscriptions, if you ask us. The tokens are not only used for the images, but also for voice calls, voice messages, animated images, and much more. The versatility is huge, but fortunately, members also get 100 free tokens a month, which allows for some leeway. We didn’t go too crazy with it, so we didn't end up in the deep end. Still, it’s certainly a fun introduction!
So, How Does it All Work?
To make us fangirl over an AI site, there seems to be a clear-cut combination of features and toolsets that hits our G-spot. First off, there needs to be substance to the girls, even if they aren’t made to be your replacement wives. Second off, features that don’t suck and are worth trying out. And third, prices and subscription terms that are decent and actually give you unlimited texting when you subscribe. And, we are happy to report that Candy.AI knocks off all these things from our list! And then some! Because the mark of a good AI site is exceeding the bare minimum and giving us something to come back to. The nice treatment of newbies is certainly a huge plus.
